Radboud Withaar
Born and raised in the Northern part of Holland, Radboud started playing the guitar at the age of 16. Like most guitar playing teenagers he was inspired by the "big" guys and started learning songs of Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, but also had large interest in bands such as AC/DC and Iron Maiden. Soon after, he began composing his own music and found some fellow musicians to play the instrumental songs. In high school, the band named "Lost" wast created and they stayed together for about 4 years. The influences of Joe Satriani and other rock players were obvious. But In the last 2 years of Lost 's career the influences of Pat Metheny came through more. At age 19 he developed an interest in Jazz and started listening to Wes Montgomery, Pat Martino to name a few.

Through out his years at the Conservatory he received lessons from Eef Albers, Jan Kuiper, Winfred Buma Richard Hallebeek and many others. He also participated in workshops with Scott Henderson, John Scofield, Mike Stern and many more. And not to forget, he played his own music in a guitar duo "Een dozijn snaren" and other instrumental bands throughout his College days and a while after. After graduating at the Conservatory in Groningen/Holland he moved to Austria and played with a few pop bands for a short while and then moved back to Holland/The Hague where he studied at the "Royal Conservatory" and obtained a "2e fase" degree. He continued playing in pop, funk, Caribbean and dance music bands and has done several recordings with them. By playing in these bands he realized the importance of having solid rhythm and started to study the repertoire of James Brown, Chic, Maceo Parker, Steve Cropper and The Meters.
For the last couple of years he has been playing with these bands;Organic, Safe House, Rod & the Honest Movement, Madhouse, De Helden, That's Cool, Glance, New Republic DJ Band, Henbent, Groovezone, Blend-it and many moore.
